Didn’t get as far as I wanted on the mix of Closer’s Not Good Enough. At about 8:27 I get a call from Mr. Kister telling me that Nicole Gordon is playing at Molly Malone’s in oh 10 minutes and there is nary a soul in sight.
So, since I live 5 minutes from this club, I did the right thing. I went down to support and enjoyed her fine performance. She even dragged me up on stage for background harmony on last song and my apparent expertise at the tangerine (aka tambourine). I just sang D# “FEELS GOOD” on the chorus, but hey, it’s about doing what you can.
Today, at work, at least 20 people were laid off, under the guise of “consolidation.” Entire departments!
