Single release #10 is coming along. Ecstatic about the bridge/solo section. Not thrilled about the way it transitions, but I have some ideas that came to the surface as I drove around looking for lunch today.
I recorded two passes of the bass part, having just changed my strings. Wouldn’t you know it though, I think it sounded better last night when the old strings were on. Oh well, that sucks. I may use the “old strings” take on the first verse and 1st chorus, as there are no guitars during those sections. We’ll see.
I just hope that the transition does the song justice cause I’m pretty happy with the direction and intention of this song. It just has to have that little ‘thing’ to put it over the top.
