Book: “Fans, Friends & Followers” by Scott Kirsner

About a year or so ago, I received an e-mail from a writer & journalist named Scott Kirsner. He was working on a new book and interviewing musicians, podcasters, writers, artists, comedians, documentary filmmakers….all kinds to understand and write in one place just how we were all doing it in the digital age.

The result is “Fans, Friends & Followers.” Scott and I spoke by phone for an interview for the book, and he used it for part of the book (page 73, I believe). It also includes a lot of other independent artists, like Jonathan Coulton, along with some of my favorite podcasters like Coverville’s Brian Ibbott.

It’s a good read, and you should check it out.
