A Nursery Rhyme

Here’s a simple nursery rhyme:

Let me state as fact,
without any tact:

If you dream of nurseries
with stripes so deluxe,
Just know when you paint them
It definitely sucks!

Well, not the final product. Just the work involved. 🙂

Spent the entire New Years long weekend designing, choosing colors, cleaning, taping, painting, and putting together the changing table for the the kid’s nursery.

Honestly it was gratifying on a few fronts:
1. The Obvious.
2. It was hard work. I woke up in pain both days. Honestly. It was two 8-hour days.  But I loved the feeling it gave me; I felt like I had worked out.
3. It was fun to work the creative mind and come up with something we’d be able to look back on and be happy with.

It’s small, simple, clean. We live in an apartment, so we’re just making the best out of what we have.

And diggin’ it!

It looks lovely. Can definitely tell you both put a lot of time and love into it. The old children’s books on the shelf really got to me. I remember all those old books with much fondness. 🙂
