there comes a point…

So, last week I spent time re-recording one of the songs for the cd I’m doing. It’s like this: there comes a time when you no longer see imperfections as “spirit” and instead you view them as, well, flaws.
This was one of my very first demo’d songs and after the quality of some recent mixes I was determined to make this one sound better.
So, i re-recorded the vocals, the drums, and the guitars. And I think it sounds better. So, there it ’tis.

Last night, I met up with Sharke13 to review and firm up the video treatment for a video we’re going to work on together. It’s really starting to take a completed form. It’s based on a treatment I came up with and that he had about a week or so to sort of ingest and “live with.” He had some ideas and we bounced back and forth over appetizers at Border Grill.

I came home and output the final mix of the song I re-recorded to be sequenced later this week. I’m waiting on a test copy of the graphic on the CD, and once I’m done sequencing the CD, it’ll be ready to dupe. All coming together.

Just checked the chart rankings on Garageband.com and my song Say What You Will is ranked #32 out of 1300 songs! Highest ranking yet.
