musically speaking…

Tuesday was Seb’s birthday. Happy birthday to Sebi!

Went to the Gig that night to take pictures of my buddies in Goldn. They posted some of the ones I took at their web site, so check it out.
They are going to England for 2 weeks on Saturday, so please wish them luck.

Last night, I spent alot of time in the studio working on bettering sounds. I have some new techniques for drums and so I took the time to test them out. Now It so happens that I’m re-mixing a song to see how it outdoes the old mix. It’s one of those things where once you hear the drums improved the whole house just collapses on itself and you end up replacing everything. I did a couple of quick takes of new guitar tones, and tonight I will probably also re-sing it. No need in telling you which song it is because, if it sucks, the anticipation for the new version will be for naught.

I’ve also been spending a lot of time building up my draw on the Internet. The Internet is fraught with possibilites, but those possibilities do not come to you. Quite the contrary, you have to go after every little thing. It’s really just about meeting people and getting them to listen to my music. And that I have been doing: meeting people from ALL OVER. It’s actually kind of crazy. Well, actually the crazy thing is how much time I have to spend to make a dent. But it will pay off.

My Genghis Cohen show has been moved from Friday to Saturday. Now it’s Saturday October 9th. That actually helps me, because I should have my CD ready by then….

What else… Oh yea, I bought a vintage fila shirt on Monday, and I think I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses (my only pair of sunglasses). I don’t mean favorite now; I mean favorite “forever.” I can’t tell you how tweaked I am about that. But if you know me, you probably already know…
