Well, the show went off quite nicely.
Showed up around 8:45 and hung out in the area in front of the listening room, just chatting up with all who were attending.
After a quick set up, I began the show.
Sound is amazing here, both on stage in the monitors and off for the audience.
The club, Genghis Cohen, is set up like a little chapel with pews on each side of a main aisle. The aisle leads to a slightly risen stage.
I started the set off with a U2 song and proceeded from there. It seemed that as I played, the energy just picked up with every song, and seriously…I mean SERIOUSLY…culminated with my latest release SAY WHAT YOU WILL where the crowd began catcalling and wooping it up and furiously clapping in 1/8 note double time, all very flamenco style. It was exhilarating and I tell you I don’t think I imagined it to be that loud. But it got to that beautiful place naturally and I was pretty blown away.
