The Day Before

Well, it’s the day before as I write this; tomorrow will be my first surgery ever. First time ever under general anesthesia. Hey, I think it’s been a good run!

That kidney stone is being straight out shy. Annoying, uncomfortable, but not out and out screaming pain, like before. So, they’re going in to remove it.

It’s called utereroscopy. For the men reading this, you may do the math. And to make it “cool”, they are using fricking lasers. To prepare, I can’t eat or drink anything after Midnight tonight. Anything. So, by the time I get to the hospital tomorrow, I shall probably be very grumpy. Course to ameliorate this, I plan on eating dinner tonight at 11:59 PM PDT.

The whole operation is supposed to take one hour and a half (I presume not including the ins and outs of forced sleep). I can’t leave the hospital until fully awake, and I’ve um, well, gone to the bathroom. But I don’t expect to stay the night.

So, say a prayer if that’s your thing, or listen to a groovy song, if you prefer. Whatever you do, look up to the sky and smile. I’m not afraid, or even really that apprehensive. But knowing you just did what you did, just makes me feel good about it.

AND if you actually read this entire post, also know this:

So long as I make it through no problems and can sit in front of a computer, on Tuesday I’ll have an announcement about Chance Single #26.

Red beans and ricely,

Chance
