How quickly life almost changed on a dime.

Scary news that ended with all that I regard important as safe and sound.

But funny how easily things could have been different, and especially on a day as momentous and happy as yesterday.

Let me get it all out of the way:
Wife is fine. Baby-to-be is fine. Dogs are fine. Nothing awful to tell you and I’m not stressed in the least, at least for now. Well, not any more than I had been before in a general sense.

But the truth be told, the store my wife Christina works at was robbed last night. Again, I continue with the “thankfullys”:

No weapons. It was a smash and grab. The place was cased for probably weeks.

But she was there, and it happened to her and her co-worker. Thief took off running. So they locked the doors and waited for the cops.

She’s jittery and, along with the pregnancy, she’s had a couple of terrible night’s sleep.

I guess the point to all of this is not complaining about the assholes who did this, nor angry and freaked about what could have been. Rather, I use this to reflect on how easy the things I love most could have been taken away, and how fortunate I am as I write this that they are safe, and sound.

I can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief

Man that sucks, but glad everything is fine. Can’t wait for pics of baby Chance.

I didn’t know about this site, Chance. Wow! What a story! And the “thankfuls” are there in this one for sure. I am so glad Christina is fine… how is she now? I hope the nightmares were temporary and she is a happy mother-to-be…
