Saturday was our last show for a little while. We have none scheduled at the moment, but we might try to get one more in LA before the year ends. Can you believe it’s almost over? This year didn’t fly by; it barely showed up!
Oh yea, apart from our friends in Tygers of Wrath, I highly recommend the band who played before us: Red Host. Check em out if you like PJ Harvey like I do. And the drummer fricking rocks.
But, the biggest reason for being happy about the last show (and it was a lot of fun to play), was that now, I can concentrate on writing.
I hate writing in quick spells. It’s not so much that it feels like a tease; it’s more like it’s just not fulfilling enough. Like eating rice cakes and calling it steak. So, now that the schedule is freed up, I can go back to the mother’s milk.
And while I have a lot of incomplete germs to work on musically, I’m (as always) very excited about the possibilities— the newbies—if you will. That’s what drives me. Well, the fact that i haven’t had the time lately to work on this stuff is what’s driving me crazy. That much is for sure.
So, I’m looking forward to walking deep into the cold, dark woods; I gotta see what’s in there.
