Weekend re-cap for June 16-18, 2007

Saturday, got a ton of things done that had been pressing for too long.
Later in the afternoon, a friend came over and sang on Chance Project: You. You interested? Check out the link.

For dinner, went to a nearby Italian place called Cuccino Paradiso (In Culver City). It was VERY good and the service was fantastic. Really hit the spot. Wanted to rent Breach, but alas, it was out of stock in the two places we searched.

Sunday’s Practice & Barbecue
Sunday’s practice went really well. I’m very happy with the set’s flow as we’re playing two new songs and bringing back an older song to this set (suffice to say we haven’t played it in a while). So, we spent most of the practice tightening up the new songs (Time Travel & the upcoming single 18, Finger On the Trigger Makes a Man Feel Bigger) and shaking the rust off the old tune.

After practice we went up to the roof of our practice space and had a barbecue that lasted well… let’s just say I lasted til about 7:30 or so. Dunno yet how long everyone else lasted. But it was a blast. Some amazing hamburgers, fajitas, guacamole, Spanish Rice, Hot Dogs, and whatever vegetarian crap Bob ate (hahahaha!)

Just a good time hanging out with some friends. It was a beautiful day too; actually starting getting a little bit on the nipply side once the sun went down.

So that’s it really! It’s the last practice before the show tomorrow. Just e-mailing some more friends to not forget to print out the discount flyer and reminding others who may be coming to the show. So, a busy 24 hours ahead for me and the boys. But it’s going to be a doozy; our last LA show for a while!

Yap at you tomorrow,
