weekend is to speed as car is to ferrari

Friday:
Took care of some online things that I needed to accomplish.
Around 3 PM, new Choir member (guitarist #2: introduction forthcoming) came over for brush up on latest music (Pause, Push, Here). He is tightening parts up which is cool to see.

Saturday, 8:30 AM:
Drove to Whittier, CA to begin editing video with director Eric Martinez for Taste of the Good Life.

16 hours later…
Editing for the video is 80% completed. Yet to come: remaining 20%; color treatment. Stay tuned!!!

Sunday:
Woke up as early as my body would allow me, and finished backing tracks on latest tunes for tonight’s Choir practice.

At 3 PM, everyone came over for a quick photo shoot.

5PM-8PM: Choir practice.
There were bright spots and rough spots. But honestly, everyone is having a lot of new material thrown at them, so the only cure for this is time (both at home and at practice). The good news is a funny acknowledgment from me: I didn’t expect Push to have so much potential. I thought it was more of a studio track and would prove to be difficult to translate live.

I was so wrong. It already is forcing its way on to the set list. Even in it’s rough status last night, you saw the potential. And I have the boys to thank for that: they strongly suggested we learn it.

Next practice scheduled for next weekend, plus possibly a couple of “one on ones” with each member in the immediate future. It really depends on schedules…

So yes, this means that Chance & the Choir dates will be forthcoming! Comment if that makes you happy as a clam…

Came home, and collapsed from exhaustion.
