Wow. That was an undertaking.
Say, oh, 4 hours on Friday.
9 hours on Saturday (give or take the ocassional meal).
7 hours on Sunday.
And I’m….close. Not completed, mind you, but close.
But the best news is the fact that I’ve begun to feel like I’m wrestling the beast to the ground. Before, it was anyone’s bet. Now, I feel like I know where the song wants to go, what it wants to be. And though much bruised and bloodied, it appears I will emerge the victor.
Jay Ruston, the mixer who mixed SWYW and HHH will be mixing it too. So, it will have grade A stamped on its behind, damnit!
This week, I will be continuing the taming of the beast, but more from a recording standpoint, and less from a writing standpoint. Just about everything I did this weekend was “compositional.”
And what is Single #14 to be called?
