Friday night’s show recap…

For those who came, they know. For those who didn’t, man they missed a show!
It was probably the best or at least my favorite acoustic show I’ve ever played.

Here’s the set:

1. Too Hot (Kool & the Gang)
2. Poem from August 18th, 2005
3. Taste of the Good Life
4. My Oh My
5. That Means Everyone (live debut)
6. Closer’s Not Good Enough
7. Man on a Mission (guest background vox: Sebastian Ciceri)
8. Hip Hop High
9. The live debut of Single #12 (release forthcoming)
10. Say What You Will (guest acoustic guitar: Mike Lopez from the band Waiting for the Decay; guest background vocalist: 8 year old Michael Sosa!)

I can only speak for myself here, but I just enjoyed the way the set flowed. And more importantly, I was able to do things I hadn’t done at the recent Chance & the Choir shows. I really wish you could have been there. The cover was particularly fun, yes; but more fun was debuting the new single and playing That Means Everyone for the first time .

So, I just got off the phone with Phil, the British Podcaster called “Bitjob for the Masses.” He interviewed me, man, I think for about an hour and a half. I suspect that the interview will be very loosy goosy as we talked music, but we also talked about a dozen other things, especially the promise that all the podcasters hold for us independent artists. To quote convicted felon Martha Stewart, “it’s a good thing.”

Have a good Labor Day everyone and think of me tomorrow.
Why?
