This past weekend

Friday night went and saw some bands:
My friends AM and Paper Sun. They played at Molly Malone’s here in LA. Good time had by all. The great thing about these bands is the community they are in really support each other and their shows.

I’m meeting alot of new people and it’s a good thing. Good musicians too. My friend B-Head (who also plays in Abandoned Pools) was doing some drumming for AM. Hadn’t seen him in a while.

Saturday, I hung out with Elvis Levy and the HarryDangler, the DJ who’s spinning one of my tracks in Salt Lake City. It was great to see both even if for only a couple of hours. We walked along Melrose so his g-friend and her friend could gawk at the Melrose shops.

We had Damiano’s Pizza by the slice for lunch. LOVE that place.

Saturday night, g-friend and I watched Magnolia’s again. That movie is so profound and Paul Thomas Anderson has to be one of the most talented people to come out of Hollywood in how long?? His work is mezmerizing to me. It’s so substantive, so meaningful so artistic without overdoing it and becoming pretentious.

Sunday, I picked up my dog for two f*cking seconds and tweaked out my back. Ugh. Annoying. Still hurts, after plenty of advil, a heating pad, and the work of a well received masseuse.
Later that night, played Songwriter’s night at Room 5 on La Brea. Played two songs, Hip Hop High and Closer’s Not Good Enough. Friends AM and Joe Lavelle played as well…
