Saturday is probably my favorite day for GETTING THINGS DONE!
And SINCE it’s Memorial Day Weekend, and SINCE I got off work 2 hours early yesterday, I feel like I have serious head start on what I’m going to do.
Last night had a great time with Jay Ruston and his girl at a famous LA Mexican joint known as El Coyote. We all just jibba jabba’d and it was good.
Before that, I cranked up the studio and just started working on some new riffs. The 1st lasted about an hour before I sorta went “annh”. The 2nd was like a bolt of energy and has suddenly become the focus of my saturday. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Later today I am hanging out with my friend, Egamlat. Egamlat is an amazing CGI animator who has worked at ILM for the past few years. He had a lead credit on Master and Commander and I believe is currently stressing himself to the nines on Star Wars 03. I can’t wait to ask him if it’s going to suck as much as or more than the 1st two episodes (he probably hasn’t seen finished edit).
Anyway, he’s is in town for the hell of it, and we’ll be hanging out either this afternoon (during the Lakers game) or in the evening.
Gotta walk the dogs, cause this new song is gnawing at my brain in a very loud and unplacated way. It will not be denied.
Wish me luck. Oh yea, here’s the working title: Alright…Easy.
