When you register, you’ll see I have a topic called “Covers” under the Audio Releases forum. I’m asking all of you to put in suggestions for a song for me to cover. I’ll pick 4 of 5 of the suggestions and run a poll you can vote on. Whichever song wins most votes, I’ll record and post on the board for free as a message board exclusive. It’ll be fun. There are already some cool ideas. But seriously, Vanessa Carlton? Ahem…LOL
I should be hanging out with my engineer friend, Jay Ruston, today (He mixed half of Portable’s Starsongs, and recently did work with Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys). Haven’t seen him in awhile; we’re overdue. Will give him some of the new songs. Was supposed to jam with James Cerreta but we’re postponing that ’til next week.
Been working up my live set for the show the following Friday. About half of the songs will be on piano, which I gotta say, it’s been a LONG time since I performed with a piano live. So, I’m publicy excited and privately a wee bit nervous about that. I’m going to try to practice an hour a day for the next week; I hopefully will be fine.
Plugged into my Classic 50 yesterday afternoon to give it a test run; all’s well. Well, only ’cause my neighbors weren’t home; trust me.
