Patience is a virtue, no matter how annoying that phrase is…

Ok, much I did yesterday. (Yoda, is that you?)

Started out by taking my old Peavey Classic 50 in for repairs. It’s a beautiful looking tweed amp designed after the old original and more popular tweed Fender bassman. I can’t exactly take a Marshall half stack to do small gigs like almost acoustic shows, so it’s time to fix up my old Peavey. I must say though, it always adds a touch of class to the apartment (as far as allowing any gear in the living room goes). I’m hoping that my 1st show will be the 1st week of June, so need to get that puppy in.

Next, I came home and began work on an “alternate” version of my first Audio release. Here’s my thing: each of my mp3 demo releases will be like mini-events. They won’t just be the download, you’ll get lyrics, genesis of the song, samples, and even a nifty section called “geek out” where I’ll disclose forbidden recording secrets. So, in addition to all of that, I will provide another full but different version of the actual release.

So, the first release will be a song called “My Oh My,” and the alternate version will be one mic, one acoustic and one voice. I added an extra acoustic track just for kicks, but it is essentially bareboned. Came out nice, I think.

Then, I began work on the final designs for the audio releases section. IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF EITHER THE FRIEND OF CHANCE BOARD, or THE PORTABLE BOARD you will receive advance notice of all future releases at least a week in advance. Hopefully in the next 24-48 hours (it’s my first and I’m still working out the last few bugs)!
So, sign up now. I’ve said it before, but yes, it bares repeatin’ now….(fell in love with a girl nahnahnah…)

Tomorrow, going to hang out with Rob Beaton, the guy who mastered Starsongs. We’re probably and most likely going to geek out.

Also going to see a band at the Gig.

I think that’s it…
